WELCOME TO TEXAS THROWERS
Texasthrowers.com is a network of Texas Masters Throwers, men and women of all ages
who enjoy getting out and throwing the discus, shotput, javelin, hammer, and weights.
This website has a few pages open to the public, however club members log in to
communicate with each other in a secure "facebook" type environment. They also have
the ability to track their throwing progress, and share training ideas.
We have a one time membership fee of $35, This fee includes membership into the Texas Throwers Club, a Texasthrowers.com T Shirt, unlimited access to the website which includes a communication area with each member, technique and supplement information, a list of all Masters and Seniors events in Texas, and links to key throwing sites. Download the membership form and email it to info@texasthrowers.com. The results for the 2010 Texas Throwers Invitational held May 1st have been posted, click TEXAS THROWERS INVITATIONAL LINK. We will have more pictures available on the members only side here shortly. THE 2011 3rd Annual TEXAS THROWERS INVITATIONAL, meet is already scheduled for Sunday May 8th. in Boerne TX. Located off I-10 thirty minutes NW of San Antonio this small town has some real nice new throwing facilities, nice restaurants for the Pachanga (on Saturday night), downtown shops and we already made arrangements with the local Hampton Inn for reduced rates for competitors. Take your time and drive out on Saturday, enjoy the town, join us at the Pachenga, and get some great throws in Sunday Morning! The proceeds again will go to Special Olympics Texas. We are determined to sponsor twice as many Texas special needs kids for the next Special Olympics. Check back as the year progresses and we'll post more information.
